JESP -Journal of European Social Policy – is looking for new editor/s

A new Editor or Editorial team is now sought for JESP. The Editor(s) will be under contract to SAGE Publications and will work closely with the JESP Editorial Board.

Deadline for applications is 31 March 2017. 

The Journal is an interdisciplinary forum for research, scholarship and debate on social policy developments in Europe (and beyond), in particular through the publication of high-quality research.  For the last eight years, JESP has been edited by Jochen Clasen (University of Edinburgh) and Traute Meyer (University of Southampton) as co-editors, and Daniel Clegg (University of Edinburgh) as book review editor.

The Editorial Board of JESP invites applications from those interested in taking on the editorship of the Journal from 1st January 2018. Applicants should be of high repute in European social policy scholarship. They are asked to provide a short account of how they plan to run the journal on a day to day basis, but also paying particular attention to future content and strategic direction in order to maintain and develop its international profile. Applications from editorial partnerships or teams are welcome.

Preferred candidates will be interviewed by the Search Committee and SAGE. SAGE will enter into contractual negotiations with the selected candidate, for a period of five years (renewable). The new Editor(s) will ‘shadow’ the current team during the latter half of 2017.
