This two-day event is aimed at PhD students and early career researchers in the Social Sciences (including Economics, Sociology, Political Science, among other disciplines) interested in issues related to social and economic mobility, labour market, housing, inequality, poverty, and public policies from an interdisciplinary perspective. See the Call for Abstracts here.
The program will be organized into several thematic sessions in which selected papers will be presented by their authors and discussed by senior researchers, fostering an open and constructive debate environment. This format offers participants the opportunity to present work in progress, receive feedback from experts in different fields, and engage in valuable academic discussions. The event will be held in person and will feature a keynote lecture by Dr. Carlos Gil-Hernández (University of Florence). The program of the first edition can be consulted here for reference. To participate, applicants must submit an extended abstract of up to 800 words by May 4, 2026, to weipo@uah.es. Authors of selected submissions will subsequently be required to send a full version of their paper by the end of June.
Dissemination of this call among potentially interested researchers is appreciated. The Workshop provides an especially suitable environment to foster connections among junior scholars, facilitate the creation of academic networks, and receive valuable feedback that may contribute to the development of early-stage research papers.
Hoping to welcome you in Alcalá de Henares!
