Call for papers Work 2019 – New deadline 31 January 2019

Work2019 is the 4th International Interdisciplinary Conference on Research on Work and Working Life

14-16 August 2019 in Helsinki, Finland.

The theme for the Conference, ‘Real Work in the Virtual World’ addresses the changing contents of work and upheavals in current and future work, as well as the changing nature of work across occupations, industries and countries. Work is currently being reorganized globally, with consequences that reinforce some global trends and divisions, and give rise to new ones. Current features of e.g. digitalization concern not only the contents of work, and the modes and ways of doing work, but also the future of labour. What kind of society will we create through the changes? How to think about work and its value? The theme for WORK2019 calls for bold analyses of the contours and boundaries of work and working in ways, which demand new understandings, both theoretically and empirically.  There will be 25 streams at the Conference.

New deadline for abstract submission is 31 January 2019
