The Conference: Changing Labour Markets, Life-course and Pensions is May 19th 2017
In which ways do labour market flexibilisation and subsequent life-course effects challenge pension provision and how do pension systems respond to such challenges?
The one-day conference, organized by the Finnish Centre for Pensions, will bring together top researchers and professionals to debate this highly topical issue.
Keynote speakers: Anna D’Addio (OECD), Joakim Palme (University of Uppsala), Traute Meyer (University of Southampton), Dirk Hofäcker (University of Duisburg-Essen), Kathrin Komp (University of Helsinki) and comments by stakeholders.
Lunch and coffee will be served and there is no admission fee. Registration will start in 2017.

The PhD students’ workshop “Life-course influences on retirement: Researchers’ and stakeholders’ perspectives”, 17- 19 May 2017.
The workshop is organized by Helsinki University, the Finnish Center for Pensions, the Research Network on Ageing in Europe, the European Social Policy Analysis Network, and the Finnish Social Policy Association.
This workshop explores life-course influences on the different aspects of retirement.
The workshop is designed for PhD students and junior researchers. During the workshop the students will get a chance to present their research and get feedback from senior researchers working in this field.
Deadline for applications is February 01, 2017.
To apply for the workshop, submit an abstract (max. 250 words). Quantitative, qualitative and conceptual studies are welcome. Selected applicants are expected to submit a complete manuscript by 1 May 2017, it can be an article or a chapter from a dissertation.
Participation fee is 150 Euros. This fee includes workshop material, lunch and refreshments during the breaks.
